Scottish football inspires the nation and transforms lives. There’s nothing else like it.

Our game connects communities, forges lifelong friendships, improves health and wellbeing, and reduces risk of illness. But to fuel the power of football, we need more facilities, open all-year-round, in every nook and cranny of our country.

The Initiative

PITCHING IN is a joint initiative between the Scottish FA and the Scottish Football Partnership Trust that aims to raise £50m over the next five years, to invest in improving football facilities across Scotland.

Reaching this ambitious target will be a team effort. We will work with investors who share our aims and ambitions — to maximise the number of people from all backgrounds able to participate in the game we love.

The five-year plan will focus on three key pillars: modernising changing facilities, upgrading older pitches, and adding new facilities in areas of need.

We will do this in a sustainable way in all senses of the word — environmental, financial, and ensuring our clubs at all levels can flourish.
